Life Update! 😊

Hey everyone, I’m back!!! 😁 And yes, it's a bathroom selfie!

It’s been so long since my last blog. SO much has happened, and I am thankful I can finally give you all an update.

Back in February, my husband resigned from lead pastor and because we were in the parsonage, we needed to find another place to live. We struggled for the next 6 months to find a home and work, but eventually, after three months, my husband was able to get his old job back. During this time, we made a trip back home to Hawaii to be with my father during his last days on earth. In March, cancer took my father from us, but I thank God that he is completely healed and is with Jesus forevermore! In May, we went back to Hawaii to lay my father to rest. Our trip was cut short because my husband needed to be back to start his new job. There had been many times where I would just sit and cry. Not just from grieving the loss of my father, but because we still couldn’t find a place to live, and the financial struggle alone had taken a toll on me. I knew God would bring us through, like He always had in the past, but I struggled to keep my faith in Him and His promises. I knew my husband was struggling too! His daily commute was a two-and-a-half-hour drive to and from work. We both searched for a house or apartment in that town, but hit road blocks every single time. We needed to give the parsonage back to the church, (we are forever grateful for their patience while we desperately tried to find a place to live), but every attempt seemed to knock us down even further.

July came and we were still struggling to move out. So, after days of prayer, my husband put in for a transfer to a town where we began to feel called back to. (You know the story of Jonah? Yeah, that’s how we felt 🤣). We decided that if it’s where God wanted us, then He would make a way. That month, I had also contacted a leasing manager in the same apartment complex where we had lived back in 2009. Just for funsies! Two days after his transfer was approved, I got a call from her saying that something sooner had opened, and it was ours if we were interested. That was August 9th and by the 13th, we had moved into our new apartment! Thank You Jesus!!! 🙌🏼 We thank those who have helped us with the move, both financially and physically. And because of the distance between our former home and new home, we were still moving at 8:30 p.m. 😳 Sorry guys!

I look back and all I can say is thank You Jesus! We have returned to our home church where my husband is on the worship team again and I’m with the kid’s church! We couldn’t be happier doing life with those who are more like family than friends and who have stood with us in prayer. I don’t know what God has for us on this new journey of ours, but one thing’s for certain, He is always faithful!
